At Petal to the Metal, we approach floral design like fine art.
Led by designer and gardener Leslie Bish, each arrangement and installment is a sculptural expression of the season, created with intention and rooted in local abundance. By blending sustainability with artistry, we craft organic yet unexpected designs that aim to bring your vision to life. Our process is deeply personal and collaborative, allowing you to experience our designs as an expression of emotion, presence, and personality.
Gardener-led floral.
Petal to the Metal was founded by Leslie Bish, a biodynamic farmer and floral artist. Based in Catskill, New York, Leslie works with her carefully selected team of artists, bringing luxury design and Earth-friendly farming techniques together to create installations that are locally grown, ethically sourced, and seasonal.
Slow + sustainable.
We believe in the Slow Flower Movement, and work hard to source our flowers seasonally, locally, and sustainably. Our gardens support our precious native pollinator populations, recycle rain water, reduce carbon emissions, and create the opportunity to steward our environment and return to the soil what we take from it.
Fully personalized.
We work with every client to create bespoke floral designs that deeply consider the event, the vision, and the venue. Our skilled and experienced team handles everything from delivery to setup to breakdown, and ensures that every flower is farm-fresh, tenderly handled, and perfectly displayed.
Designed to decompose.
Our floral designs are created using fully recyclable and biodegradable materials. During your event, we’ll re-use flowers wherever possible for multiple stages of the day. After your event, your flowers will be returned to our farm where they’ll be harvested for seeds and then turned into compost, to help create the next generation of flowers.
